This post is very special. I\u2019m sharing authorship with my partner, Carles Puyol<\/strong>. We are really excited about sharing the full feature from Fashion&Arts that was published on April 16th<\/sup> last.<\/p>\n

This is a little chat about what we both thought of the experience, each from our own perspective. Here goes.<\/p>\n

Carles. <\/strong>As I said, I would never have done that photo shoot if it weren\u2019t for you. I don\u2019t find it easy. I\u2019ve never liked standing in front of the camera, it\u2019s not my habitat. I\u2019ve never been too concerned about my image or aesthetics either. I focused on playing football and on doing what I felt without thinking about whether I looked good or not. I feel uncomfortable in front of the camera; I don\u2019t know what to do. The team\u2019s relaxed attitude, and you of course, Vanesa, made the experience easier for me.<\/p>\n

Vanesa. <\/strong>Of course, one of the conditions for this shoot was that we could ensure that great care was taken over everything, because I know you, and I knew that if we found the right team that was enthusiastic about this publication, everything would go smoothly. I was delighted that Joana Bonet and Fashion&Arts let me get involved in the art direction. As you have seen, with the book for example, I love being involved in the creative side of projects.<\/p>\n

C. <\/strong>I can vouch for that\u2026I\u2019ve seen you working and you are too much of a perfectionist. You never think anything is ever completely finished. You\u2019ve told me about how small details make a difference, and I am beginning to understand more about photography and image as we work on projects together. I see similarities with football: small details change the result massively. \u201cSuccess is in the details\u201d. Although one thing is theory and another is practice\u2026 You have to relax in front of the camera but continue to control your corporeal expression. In this session, I was really lucky to have you guiding me all the time, telling me what I had to do.<\/p>\n

V. <\/strong>As a model, and after so many years in the profession, I have shared countless shoots with colleagues, but I have never before done photos in such a meaningful manner. It was really comfortable because we were together, sharing a very intimate language that we are used to sharing, naturally. I think that is why the photos emanate something so beautiful, because it is real. I\u2019m really happy with the result. Also,\u2026there\u2019s something else. I was really excited about people seeing a side to you that is very different to what they are used to seeing. I don\u2019t know\u2026more fashionable\u2026an attractive guy\u2026which is what you are. And I\u2019m saying it objectively, eh?<\/p>\n

C. <\/strong>Well, you\u2019re a bit biased\u2026 But it\u2019s true that lately people have been saying: \u201cWhat has Vanesa done to you? You look much better<\/em>\u2026\u201d. You\u2019ve been changing little things, and in this case bigger things. To begin with, you\u2019ve refreshed my whole wardrobe!<\/p>\n

V. <\/strong>I\u2019ve received lots of comments about how this feature has let people find out a little bit more about us. I hope that it isn\u2019t misunderstood as an overexposure of our intimacy. For us it was an artistic adventure. It was really nice to participate in such a meticulous aesthetic fashion project. A feature about love.<\/p>\n
