I love the walks at sunset with my daughter Manuela, those are the moments when I wish time stops. I have fun going grocery shopping around the neighborhood with her. She loves going out, she’s an awake and curious baby.
Last week we decided to go to the fish-shop nearby home as I needed to improvise dinner and I was up for fresh fish. The mackerel, a very healthy small blue fish ensures you eat less amount of metals, and the shrimps from Palamós looked super fresh and delicious. My mouth was watering while Manuela kept pointing different fishes in order for me to tell her their names. I ended up allowing myself a whim and I bought the exquisite choice of shrimps. Dinner ended up being a total festival!
With these two ingredients, I prepared a quick dinner. I always try to make sure that my meals are balanced with enough protein, carbohydrates and fat. In this case, protein and healthy fat were covered by the fish and the raw olive oil so I added carbohydrates with the quinoa (that you’ll always find in my kitchen), and the choice of vegetable that I found in my fridge: broccoli. You might find weird in the photo below that the carrot is on its own. It’s actually one of the snacks that I like to have while I’m cooking.
The table is full of colors from my trips. The Japanese tableware is from Pier River, one of my favorite shops in Chinatown, NY, which I matched with golden-detailed glasses from Zara Home and the napkin holders that I bought in Namibia.
