«Breakfast is the most important meal of the day». I’m sure you’re tired of hearing it, but honestly, for me, it is. I can’t function properly without giving the fuel my body and brain needs.
Here’s one of my favorite winter breakfast. It takes some time to prepare it, but it’s worth it.
On an empty stomach, I start with a grapefruit juice and add all the fiber left in the juicer. I love the taste although it’s bitter!
I follow up with porridge cooked in oat or rice milk and a cinnamon stick. I add fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries) or a banana and, to sweeten it up, I add rice syrup, royal quinoa syrup or honey. Oats are good for your heart and it will make you feel satisfied for a good few hours as they are a long-absorption carbohydrate. When I feel I need some protein, I also have a boiled egg.
You’ll always find nuts, almonds and hazelnuts in my kitchen table and in my bag. They’re my morning snack. Also, let me give you an advice. Don’t forget to eat them raw, it’s how you get the most nutrients out of them.
